How the digestive system works

Introduction
The digestive is the way that food gets broken down in the body.

The gateway to the digestive system is through the mouth. The digestive system starts in the mouth and the teeth grinds up and breaks the food. As soon as you take a bite of food the digestion starts.Silver makes the food get wet so that the food can digest .The digestive system is the food you eat then it turns into energy. Then the food goes down the esophagus into the stomach.
The gastric juice in the stomach starts to break it down. The stomach also churns the food you eat into liquidy mush.
Then the food goes inside the small intestines and the first name of the small intestine is called the duodenum.
In the small intestine the bile and more gastines juice takes out the protein fat and carbohydrates for the body to use.
Then it's off to the large intestines
if you are wondering why we need a large intestine it is because it has a very important job to dissolve all the water and salt. And the rest is left to come out as poo.
